Kurt continues climbing. He checks a map and sees that he's not high up at all! Not compared to where he has to go anyway.
After a bit of struggling, Kurt makes it into a cave some way up. He meets a dodo bird here. He climbs further by jumping on floating rocks. Some more crystals are stuck in the wall here.
Later on, he climbs out of the cave and out into a fungus filled area. Fortunately, there's a save point here too.
He nearly falls off the other side of the mountain all the way down but he manages to hold on! That would've been a very big drop!
