Wow... the inside of that steep tunnel is like some kind of cool waterslide.

Poor guy is frantically scrambling around the jungle for a watermelon.

I guess one of those hits was a crit, so that would be how the creeper was dispatched so easily with a stone sword.

Wow, lots more creepers in that jungle... at least he finds his watermelon and that's that :)

Kurt goes on to Ampelonas Ormi. Wow, pretty rough road with sharp hairpin turns. He gets into it a bit more though and does some repair work configurations afterwards.

In the next race he flips but recovers beautifully. He jokes about how he needs to start wearing racing gloves for his steering wheel controller. That would be kinda funny if they really existed :) but hey if he's getting calluses then maybe it's not a bad idea. In winter it gets so cold I often have to wear gloves while typing.

He finishes third in this event. Woo! :)

Yikes, that van crushed up like a tin can.

He changes areas to a cool looking obstacle course, with staircases and a crazy pretzel like road loop structure. It's a fun looking place to drive. He does a loop the loop, which looks pretty cool and fun :)

Kurt welcomes us back to this near hour long special of Far Lands Or Bust! It's the first one after the 2015 FLoBathon and it's dedicated to building the new monument!

Firstly, Kurt discovers that this crater has a neighbouring twin crater!

He talks about the FLoBathon while chopping trees and digging around for the monument he wants to build.

While building, time passes so he makes an elevated hidey hole for quick access and fills up the regular one.

I'm glad he decided not to go for the pink beard suggestion! Yeesh!

He's trying to alter the walls of the crater so it gives off a cool visual effect.

This was the calm and collected FLoBathon and it went pretty well for him! It was quite enjoyable and fun to watch too with lots of variety and guests :)

He nips off to a nearby desert to collect some sand. When he comes back he does a quick time lapse of all the building and sculpting he has to do in order to make the monument.

He's putting in stone steps and everything. This'll be a tourist hotspot someday!

I keep thinking that single block of pink wool is a pig wandering around...

Ooo... it looks pretty at night with all the torches lighting it up :)

Torches and flaming netherrack... dramatic!

The way the blocks are arranged on the sides of the crater looks a bit like a Q*Bert screen!

Wow! Nice surprise he made too with a deluxe hidey-hole with a glass roof underneath the other crater and a tunnel joining the two!

He's planning a lava feature. It's like a water feature, only with lava! He has excess glass, so he's gonna use them somehow. He breaks the pink wool block.

He then excavates a cave next to the deluxe hidey hole of its zombies and some amusing awkwardness with Wolfie follows. He ends up having to make new pants.

He builds the long glass towering tube that reaches high up into the sky. Up here he places a chest and a sign that says "2,266,779 F3 on 5/31/2015 FLoB Season 5 Finale". On the other side of the pillar he puts up a sign that says "Here Remains the Diamond Sword of Spawn Pointiness". In the chest he finally leaves this mystical sword to rest! Along with some arrows in the corners, for a touch of class.

He almost breaks into song too :)

But yeah... my goodness, the legacy of this sword!

Kurt digs back down to confirm the safety of the lava feature. It's perfect :)

He then places his 4 pink wool blocks on the top corners of the monument crater. The sun goes down and it looks even prettier. He thinks twice about taking a screenshot when danger appears, so he retires to his luxury hidey hole, complete with roof chicken. Very cosy! It even has a view of the lava feature through the glass roof! Wolfie's here too.

Kurt thanks everybody for their support at the end of this fifth season and takes a well earned snooze!

After the endslate, there's a fun little skit where Kurt is doing the "Woo!" thing while spiralling around in slow motion and in fast. :)

Oh! Mooshroom biome! That's kinda lucky for the mushroom stew. Bit unlucky that he spawned surrounded by a significant body of water though...

He finds more mushrooms later but it takes more time and he almost loses his way back to his little furnace base.

11 minutes and 03 seconds is his time. Ranking 7th but still, not too bad at all :)

Being a speed challenge, he burrows straight down for some iron.

WOW that gigantic ravine that suddenly appeared. His exasperated screeching to a halt is pretty humorous!

Later on it's pretty dramatic when he goes back to his hole and the zombies jump down on top of him! Thanks to some skillful block placement, he blocks them off!

I like the way he pleads to the creepers "Don't do it! Don't do it!".

Pretty nice find of a golden apple in the spider spawner chest too.

After all this he completes the challenge handily :)

Sunrise is lovely too. Poor Kurt gets stuck but manages to pull himself out... or at least, that's what I was hoping. There's the big steep hill, the mud and all those trees involved. It's not quite a cliffhanger but it sounds better than a steep-hill-hanger! Hopefully he'll be able to get out of this...

Kurt decides to build the monument and have the F3 point in a crater like hole. Everyone, including Skype guests and Twitch chatters make their own guesses before Kurt presses F3. He does a dramatic countdown and looks up into the sky from within the hole, which frames the scene really well :)

If I were to guess then I would've said about 2 and a half million.

Kurt presses F3 and the number is... 2,266,779! Lots of doubles and Kurt's own guess was really close!

Kurt puts up a sign to celebrate. He waits for someone to donate past the $63K point so that they may name this particular sheep. He should've sheared the sheep while he was waiting... maybe more pink wool would grow back? He writes "PIIINK SHEEEP of $63,000 FLoB-athon 2015 *squeak!*" on the sign when that donation point is reached. He puts the rest of his half slabs around it and shears the sheep for 4 blocks of wool. Very generous :)

Poor Eva wants to play more and takes out some tissue paper from the bathroom. Eva the diva! She just wants to play fetch :)

That's pretty funny when Kurt almost jinxes Wolfie's long lifespan!

Poor Kurt is getting headphone fatigue! I know what that's like alright on very long journeys.

Eva starts to get restless, throwing her toy around. She's not usually like this but then it is a marathon play session!

Before going on break, Kurt holds his 3D glasses up to his face when the "Now in 3D!" text appears on the title screen and does a little groove. Fun stuff :)

I like their discussion of wake up alarm tones! Jurassic Park theme to wake you up? Awesome :) I actually find that I grow to detest any theme that has an "alarm" or "ring" function.

"Moses on a trampoline!" is a beautiful exclamation by Kurt! He and Brian continue to explore and find a booby trapped chest. They do a controlled explosion and gaze at the big hole it made in the ground.

Funny moment when they discover the gigantic hole. Both of them are like "WHOA!". They descend safely into the enormous cavern. The beard cam is fun when Kurt goes through panicked moments!

Later on they take to the skies and decide on their next venue.

Kurt and Brian take a break to visit the Wayward Wonders world together. They show themselves doing various things, including running at high speed across the desert. They check out a couple of nether portals and return to Chichen Itza too.

Kurt and Brian talk about tips for stopping sneezing. The only one I've heard that works is pinching the top part of your nose that's directly between the eyes. I prefer to sneeze though!

Kurt meets some untamed wolves and with them a stress free day. He's prioritising this FLOBathon to be stress free.

Kurt saves and backs up again. He has the comic of himself trying to feed Wolfie but ends up eating the bone himself. Classic fan comic :)

Kurt and Brian thank more donors. Some of them like getting the donation number to a tidy one or to a palindrome! Stylish donating!

Kurt has to take Eva out at one stage but we get a jump cut on this YouTube video. Brian's unsure if he can hold down the fort with his tennish Sean Connery impression!

After the break there's an AntVenom raid into the stream and some more splash pages of lovely Kurt and Wolfie artwork where they press on with determination.

Kurt has his sandwich eaten and is still sipping iced tea. Brian returns and they discuss the chat's fun idea of having a sandwich cam!

By the way, I'm not big on tomatoes in sandwiches... If a slice of tomato is put in my sandwich or burger I have to put salt on it.

There's a bit of activity when a skeleton shoots at Kurt from in a little pool of water! Kurt also accidentally punches Wolfie when he spawns in a pumpkin patch. Whoops!

More exciting activity when Kurt finds a skeleton spawner and Wolfie gets involved! They make it out though, and Kurt gets the wheat he used back too. The scariest and funniest moment is when a cow makes noise in the water and it freaks Kurt out! Brian's laugh is contagious!

Kurt continues to chat with Dr Brian Lorgon111. They share memories of previous FLOBathons and about when Kurt had those neighbours that had a noisy garage door!

Soon they pause to backup the world and answer more questions. Kurt puts up another piece of artwork of him with a pith helmet and looking around nervously. I've seen something like this on his UHC video thumbnails! Season 19!

We learn that Kurt thinks cats are ok but he's not as much a cat person as Brian is. I wonder what episode of Brian's videos had loads of meows?

Kurt answers a question about toothpaste. He uses the regular Colgate cavity protection. He uses an Oral B electric toothbrush and has to use sensitive brush heads he has to order online.

He finds a bit more cheaty snow and falls through! Again, it's a shallow hole luckily enough.

Kurt brings on the first guest, Dr Brian Lorgon111. Woo! They talk about the start of this big day and about the fanart of the smoothie that was already made and uploaded!

They chat about their Wayward Wonders adventure. It was a huge map! Must've taken ages for Mondy to make.

Kurt makes some torches torches torches before taking another backup break. For the next splash screen, there's a lovely piece of art by someone on Deviantart named HappySaturday. It's Kurt and Wolfie walking side by side on a Mario Galaxy looking planet with a beautiful blue sky in the background.

After answering some questions, Kurt goes back into the game and finds some cheaty snow! Quite a bit of it hovering above a shallow hole.

Kurt answers a question and talks about his daily morning routine and also how it's changed since Eva came along. Speaking of her, he goes to check out what she is looking at in alarm. It's a false alarm though!

I do appreciate that Kurt keeps Far Lands or Bust! clean and family friendly. I do love shows like Game Grumps but when I hear about parents enjoying Kurt's show with their toddler kids in the donor questions, it's quite a lovely thing!

Speaking of which, I try to be clean and swear free too with my blogging, even on my Game Grumps fan blog!

Kurt has a little scare moment when he falls into the shallow hole while admiring a land formation. Soon afterwards, he spots a spawner. It has bread and wheat, so he just takes the wheat.

Later, he resists the temptation to excavate a deeply buried zombie spawner.

Kurt has another lovely splash screen up while he backs up and reads out donor comments and questions.

After a little break he has another lovely piece of artwork up as the splash screen. It has him looking off into the distance with his hand over his forehead and a smiling Wolfie standing next to him. In the background there is a creeper lurking behind a tree and a chicken underneath the elevated hidey hole! Some lovely trees, mountains and moon in the background too. Sixalona(spelling?) made this one and Anasia(spelling?) made the last one with the cute style Kurt and Wolfie frolicking about. The "My Coffee Is Cold" one is by Carrotfreak and was inspired by 2014 FLOBathon.

It's nice that Kurt gives credit where credit is due :) they are lovely pieces of art. Imagine that if someday FLOBathon splash screen space will be something really sought after, like Super Bowl ad space!

When Kurt gets back into the game he meets the first creepers of FLOBathon 2015! He dodges them well though!

He tells the story of how two creepers launched him up into the air! I remember that well and the FLOB Flashback!

Kurt talks about checking co-ordinates in the FLOBathon only apart from the time when the offset changed. He also talks about the Diamond Sword Of Spawn Pointiness and how it'll be gone very soon.

Kurt reminds the chat not to let him talk too much since it is going for hours on end and to make backups of the world now and again.

He spots some cool formations and caves along the way and once again is thankful for this earlier wilder version of the game.

There's a donation indicator in the top left and it's fascinating to see how it updates. Some very generous donors there!

Kurt is thankful that the Farlanders don't donate to try and get him to do stunts like eat hot sauce. Careful who you say that to, Kurt!

My first blog post covering a FLOBathon! Though I've watched every single one of them. I've even been lucky enough to catch the first one while it was still online. The video has a gorgeous piece of artwork by Taraforest as the splash screen. It features Kurt's character looking back at Wolfie playfully as they frolic and bravely venture towards the Far Lands. I hope there isn't a creeper in that shady area!

Kurt himself starts with a not-so-smooth smoothie. When he gets playing he makes a sign that says "FLoB-athon 2015 BEGINS! 05/30/15 Stress-Free!" which can disappear because of the block offset. it's like some 3D .MPO image!

He gets on a good start. I've decided to do these posts for every half hour! The last post will be extra long though and beyond the 8th hour.

He answers another question about passing the torch on Far Lands Or Bust!... He mentions Dr Brian Lorgon111 as one of the top candidates. He also talks about his nephew Goober and shares a story about how he plays games like as if they're Let's Plays, even though he's not recording! That's cute :)

Kurt and Brian come out of the nether where they didn't find anything but had fun doing it. They then decide to visit the floating island in the sky just above them. While climbing the adjacent mountain, they find the cyan wool! Woo!

Afterwards they visit the island which has a treasure chest but there isn't much there. They then water bucket their way down, take out some spawners and head back to place their wool block.

They end the video by blowing the place up and having a duel to the death on the bridge! For fun of course!

Kurt talks about the upcoming FLoBathon and about seeing the recent Mad Max movie. He says he enjoyed it. I haven't watched it myself. The closest I got to see was the Mad Max themed joke in the recent Spongebob movie, which was pretty good!

Kurt answers a question about studies and careers and offers some advice and says how workers involved in space exploration have a wide range of interests or they trained in seemingly unrelated fields.

The "Nearly Death" moment is pretty jarring! Poor Kurt has to take a moment to breathe! He and Wolfie avoid it thankfully! He builds an elevated hidey hole here, turns the lava to obsidian and puts up a sign that says "Too Close For Comfort Nearly Death! 05/22/2015". The next donor question is "What's the scariest experience you've ever had in your life?". I'm sure this is up there! He's still reeling!

He answers another interesting question about learning in school and how he would've loved more of a choice of things to learn. He is right! It's food for thought too. I should give a thought about what stuff I'd like to learn.

That slo-mo replay of the "Nearly Death" at the end of the video was an excellent bit of service Kurt! Well done! I don't know what it is, but panicked exclamations in slow motion are hysterical!

Offroading is perilous, but not as much as tutorial text boxes! That's the first obstacle he has to deal with.

Wow, that winding road on the steep hill looks treacherous! The first person view on this vehicle is really high up too. Kurt notices some new things like birds getting spooked by beeping horns.

Later when he tumbles, he beeps to try to send the birds away for help! Funny stuff :)

Kurt livestreams again and announces the 100% completion of the donation goal reached for season 5! Woohoo! Wow, it took ages and it was quite eventful. The livestreams really helped and one very generous donor helped with the last jump. Kurt is so flabbergasted that Wolfie almost falls into a lava pool. Fortunately, Kurt makes him teleport just in time!

Kurt talks about Portalnauts, made by a fellow YouTuber he admired since his early days called GamesPlusJames(formerly IrishLantern). Nice to see how people get on after some time :)

Kurt talks about computing and the internet and the way things are and the the way things were and the way things will be. He uses his own Far Lands or Bust! series as an example in this discussion and how he likes it as a thing he can do for a long time or the way it's like a time capsule. I guess I can relate to this with my own fan blog here! Blogging is considered outdated or nostalgic by many but I still like working with it. It's also something I'd like to do for a long time, even when I catch up with Kurt.

Kurt concludes the NASCAR 2013 series with this video. He really isn't enjoying this game anymore and you can see it in the gameplay that he really wants to move on from it. I suppose it makes sense, seeing how he wants to do stuff with his computer so that he can play newer games.

KURT AND BRIAN'S WAYWARD WONDERS 31 - LAKES OF AWESOMENESS

Kurt and Brian come back to it after a little break and organise their fetch/trading quest. I like the way the sheep have "Bah!" over their heads!

Along the way, they enchant lots and lots of books. They come across a sweet crater that has a village in the centre too. It looks pretty awesome!

They explore the huge trees and climb to the tops, having a look around at the waterfall and the spire structure above it. They jump down into the water and some fun ensues!

There are guardians in this lake. They use night vision potions and it really does the trick with their navigation. There are quite a few more spawners at the top of the waterfall. There's another lake up here too that's really deep and Kurt finds some nice treasures in the boat up here. Gotta say, the walls and floor of this lake are vast and pretty awesome.

This time it's quite grey compared to the brownish desert track in the last episode. Very overcast and it looks kind of boggy in this landscape. Much more similar to Ireland!

The water effects do look quite goopy. The droplets look really big or something, I can't quite put my finger on it...

Some nice countryside features, such as the logs and windmills and trees.

He sees a floating island that's not actually floating but is supported by a very thin structure underneath. Nice little sight.

The jitteriness is getting to be a bit much so Kurt advises looking at the horizon for us (and for himself!)

He gets a question about wristwatches. He says he likes wearing one and I do too! I normally wear Casio ones. He likes the Timex Nato strap ones and they look interesting. He talks about a Detroit watch company too that he likes.

He has an interest in visiting Ireland. If he does come here I hope he has a nice time :) I'm actually not big on international travel myself. Wasn't raised that way either.

I had to look up Hearthstone. It's a card game! Doesn't seem like Kurt's style of game. Wouldn't be mine either.

Learning by gaming is an interesting topic! It's true, you can learn stuff from video games.

I like the way he greets the wolves and then the pumpkins :) it's nice.

He discusses time zones and why we have them. He has a good point. I don't mind them at all.

The final hidey hole looks a little tall, strange and kinda dangerous too with all the gravel.

Kurt tries another endless runner! This one reminds me of a music video, like One Love by The Prodigy.

I like the concept where you're a bird like thing and you're trying to race the sun before it sets. There's scoring and multipliers and levels.

The bird poops are collectibles. Levelling up brings you new features so you don't get bored of the same first few levels. This is a nice thing and keeps you coming back! I like it!

Today Kurt tries an endless runner that seems to have the tunnel level design of Knuckles Chaotix's bonus stages or the worm tunnels from Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal... or maybe even many levels from Sonic Lost World. There are probably endless examples of non-Sonic games that have this kind of thing but I can't think of them right now. It's very addictive to watch him play!

He says it's like Battletoads all over again. Well, it does seem like a version of that! Imagine a Battletoads endless runner!

You can play as different characters too, like a clanky metallic character.

Also, he's not that terrible at this! He gets on well enough from what I can see.

It's pretty funny when they get creative with swearing and randomly spout names of famous actors! Then they ramp up the challenge by saying only actors who were in the American version of The Office.

Quite a fun episode and Kurt gets a decent amount of wins!

Kurt and Brian check out the bedrock caves today.

Kurt reads the message with some emotion! Very nice :) he gets a nasty surprise when he jumps into the well and takes a big dip down into more bedrock. It dried up!

This bedrock cave network is pretty cool.

In the forest at night, it's kinda scary with the glowy creepers. Later on, Kurt goes into a cave with lots of scary spawning skeletons and other enemies. They both make it out safely and continue their Wayward Wonders.

Wolfie does a dramatic diving attack on a pig after Kurt lands the first hit. 

Kurt does a scientific test about the crafting table breaking faster if you use a sword, rather than using your bare fist. It proves true! Love the Mississippi counting too :)

He talks a little about being a YouTuber and about self-employment and stresses and stuff.

Kurt races other cars on a track in a dusty bowl like area or perhaps a pit where major construction is taking place. Some machinery like diggers and carrier trucks can be seen on the sides of the road. Kinda gritty and cool.

The sight of those two AI cars flying up in the air in the distance is kinda strange and funny to see! Why are they doing that indeed!

The positional audio is kinda cool too and Kurt can hear stuff like cars coming up close.

KURT AND BRIAN'S WAYWARD WONDERS 29 - FALL FROM ATLANTIS

Kurt and Brian come across something that makes Brian all invisible except for his armour, so all you can see is this headless armour which is kinda strange and cool.

They explore tower like wooden structures with lots of treasure and spawning eggs. Kinda eventful with a few explosions. Brian comforts Kurt's fall from the top by spawning a few squids around his feet! Haha, nice :)

Later they climb neighbouring mountains and find treasures on their summits, having a little fun with pretend echoes :)

They play a bit of C418's music and Brian comes back into visibility.

Brian later finds a giant stone pumpkin. They were here before though.

Later still they meet us at the pillars of Atlantis. Oh poor Brian! That's an awful height to fall from! We don't see it but can hear his blood curdling scream! Kurt's a bit luckier with his grey wool harvest and his dive from the pillar into the water.

After placing the wool, Brian tries to do some snoring. Kurt shows him how it's done :)

Kurt enjoys more organic scenery in this legacy version of Minecraft. He aplogises to a creeper for light polluting its cave home. So polite :)

Kurt digs snow out of a heart shaped hole while giving space news. This is why we watch :) these nice little moments. The jittery effect is crazy here. He takes a nice screenshot of it too. Nice finale too with the machine gun snowball throwing!

I guess some things would annoy him as a graphic designer because he gets the urge to fix visual oddities. I actually like the way he complains about not being able to read text when it's shown up against the sun in Forza. That's a common thing nowadays that really annoys me too.

He later advises a zombie not to walk out into the sun but the zombie does it anyway. He's so kind to the mobs :)

I wonder how that donor who had the corrective jaw surgery is getting on? It's been about a year.

Wolfie almost swims further on without stopping at the end of the day. I like the way Kurt says "Nooooon as the cow would say :) ". He then realises he left his workbench back at the snow heart but that's ok, as it was a newish one too.

He messes up at one point and his lap is cancelled and his drive is reset to the starting line. Boo-urns indeed!

Kurt's space news is about SpaceX's manned capsule test.

Kurt sees an "inappropriate structure", a dangling precipice! His reaction is kinda funny :) but if we were to be clean it looks a bit like a uvula when you open your mouth. If this was an old Looney Tunes cartoon you'd yell "Pinocchio!".

I like the favourite things about the seasons question! As for me, in Spring I like the stretch in the evenings. In Summer I like a soft gentle breeze, in Autumn I like it when it still has a bit of Summer, and in Winter I agree wholeheartedly about the no bugs.

He makes a nice "elevated hidey hole of jack-o-lantern-ness" and takes a screenshot!

Wow, that's a thought provoking question about Wolfie unwittingly trained to jump off cliffs in order to be rewarded with treats! Positive reinforcement! Yikes! He talks a little about Eva on this point too.

Kurt finds a cool island of sand. All sand apart from one dirt block, and it's perfectly aligned with a single dirt block on the ground! Kinda cool to see it topple.

Kurt's back to Forza! It's great that he's well again.

90% of the career mode done. That's pretty cool. I'd say it's something you really have to like doing. It's a good thing he does! I'm not big into racing games really, but I like Kurt's commentary.

So, Ghibli is a type of Maserati car? I didn't know that. I'm only familiar with the acclaimed Studio Ghibli. They both seem to be pronounced differently too. Studio Ghibli I know is officially with a 'j' sound. Maybe the car is pronounced with a 'g' sound, like 'g' for "get". It's how Kurt pronounces it anyway so I'll go with that.

In the thumbnail, Kurt has the dwarf from the Lord of the Rings, because his name sounds similar.

There's a race with a cargo plane. Haven't seen one of these in a while! They can be kinda exciting. I'd say it would be pretty loud if there really was a plane travelling alongside you and at that proximity.

I like the way he says he destroyed the apple orchard business by driving through all those trees! Putting a real world spin on things!

Kurt finishes this video and it's the end of this series for a small while. At a glance, it looks like EP66 was uploaded a month later, so not to worry! It's not the end!

He ends the video by driving over a ramp and his controller's battery dying. Nice way to end it! :)

It's pretty stressful and it makes for an action packed episode!

He still has a bit of a cold but he sounds a bit better than he did in the sick voice video.

He's looking forward to the new version of Kerbal Space Program, so it'll be back to that series soon!

He talks about his aging computer and how he's thinking of going to transfer stuff to a new one.

I would not spend a sick day watching Interstellar. Ick :( I hate the ending. He talks about the scientific issues the movie has, with the nitrogen in the atmosphere and everything. He thinks the centrifugal force thing could've been done with the effects on their faces. That would've been great actually! Take notes from Kurt! :)

The possibility of a female protagonist instead? Hmm... interesting. Matthew McConaughey did a good job though.

He talks about The Martian movie too and I missed out on it. I wish I had seen it instead though! It sounds awesome! I hope Kurt likes that movie more too!

Nice for him to manage this episode since getting sick :) his recovery is going well so far!

Kurt and Brian reunite and Kurt gets his stuff back! I just noticed that there's a "Butter Sword". That's a pretty amusing thing to think about! What's it used for? Buttering a giant piece of bread? The mind boggles!

Wow that hall with everyone standing at the table is kinda interesting. Imagine running across the table in front of them!

Amazing timing and slow-mo moment where Brian says something about downstairs and then the floor opens out from under him!! Wow!

Later on they find a cool castle with a garden. Later on still there's a big Taj Mahal palace with a bad guy named Jafar, in the form of a spider laying web. Kurt slays him. They explore the place a little more, finding treasures.
