With night vision on, Kurt decides to aim for the centre row, which seems to be speedy and doable enough. I had to look up "pith and vinegar". I didn't know the phrase came from that!
The most difficult thing to find here turns out to be a cave! He even finds a golden apple before that! He eventually has to resort to burrowing to find one.
He eventually does and then a skeleton and then that's it! Bingo in under 10 minutes. Woo!
Hmm... maybe that sense of scarcity is built into it?
