There's no Tamed Wolves Podcast that I know of but it doesn't sound like a bad idea :)

They do lots of smithing and enchanting too.
Armed to the teeth, they dig up to the surface. It's night though, so they take cover from mobs including a witch!
They both take turns at bathroom breaks.
The witch is still there in the morning but they escape without any commotion :)
